🤩The Ultimate Beginner's Guide To Earning Passive Income You Need to Know🤩

Published about 2 months ago • 3 min read

Hey, it's Rachel—

I just got off the phone with one of my friends from college.

Get this: After grad school, he started an Amazon business that sold DVDs he found at discount stores.

For years, he was doing great.

I admired him because he didn't have to have a traditional 9-5 job.

But then the world changed, and more competition came into the market, and his Amazon business stopped being profitable. 😢

He had to go back to work.

He worked at various jobs and made good money for years.

He got married and had a kid...

And then he got restless.

On a whim, he created a YouTube channel, positioned himself as an expert in a certain niche, and invited people to book a free appointment with him.

Then he went on vacation.

When he returned from vacation, he had a few people book appointments, and he closed thousands of dollars of sales during those calls.

Now, years later, he has a thriving business worth millions and a team of employees and he only works 'till around noon every day.

🤯🤯🤯

Can you imagine what would have happened if he had given up?!

Q: Thank you for your emails, they're always helpful. I have a quick question for you. How do you recommend continuing to move forward on a goal or pursuit even when a situation is tough and feels impossible to overcome?

A: Thank you so much for your question. I really appreciate hearing from you and knowing that you trust me to answer questions like these. Facing tough situations can be incredibly challenging, but it's important to remember that there are always strategies to help you keep moving forward. Here's what I'd recommend:

  1. Acknowledge Your Feelings: It's important to recognize and accept your feelings about the situation. Acknowledging these emotions is the first step in processing them, whether you're feeling scared, frustrated, or overwhelmed. It's okay not to be okay. It's ok to cry. Sometimes, you'll feel better when you let it out.
  2. Focus on What You Can Control: In any difficult situation, there are elements beyond your control. (Perhaps after a good cry), identify what aspects you can influence and focus your energy there. This helps to reduce feelings of helplessness and empowers you to take constructive action.
  3. Break Down the Situation: Large problems can seem insurmountable. Try breaking down the situation into smaller, manageable parts. Tackle each part one at a time. This method can make the problem more approachable and less daunting.
  4. Set Small, Achievable Goals: When you're going through a tough time, even small accomplishments can make a big difference. Set achievable goals for yourself. Each small success can build your confidence and momentum.
  5. Seek Support: Remember, you don’t have to face difficult times alone. Reach out to friends, family, or professionals who can provide support, guidance, and a different perspective. Also, don't be afraid to reach out multiple times. I have personally had gatekeepers get in the way between me and a solution. Sometimes, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Also, remember, you get more bees with honey than vinegar.
  6. Practice Self-Care: Taking care of your physical and emotional well-being is crucial, especially during tough times. Ensure you're getting enough rest, eating well, and engaging in activities that help you recharge.
  7. Stay Flexible and Open to Change: Sometimes, tough situations require us to adapt and change our approach. Be open to new ways of thinking or alternative paths you might not have considered before.
  8. Reflect on Past Challenges: Think about previous challenges you've overcome. What strategies worked for you then? Drawing on past experiences can provide both practical solutions and remind you of your resilience.
  9. Maintain a Positive Outlook: While it's not always easy, try to maintain a positive outlook. Optimism doesn’t mean ignoring the difficulty of the situation, but it involves believing in your ability to persevere and seeing challenges as opportunities to learn and grow.
  10. Practice Gratitude: Even in tough times, there might be aspects of your life that you're thankful for. Focusing on these can provide a more balanced perspective and help uplift your spirits.

Hey, it's Rachel— I have a friend who is a real estate investor. He has experience flipping homes. One day, I asked him, "What does it take to be successful? Do you have to time the market just right?" He told me, "It didn't matter what the market is doing; it's all about the deal." "If you get a good deal, it doesn't matter if the economy is good or bad; you'll make money." That lesson has always stuck with me. In my (currently failing) quest for a bigger home, I come across a lot of homes...

Hey, it's Rachel— My husband and I are enjoying our 10-year anniversary this week. We decided to take this time to discuss our dreams and visions for the next 10 years of our relationship. This may sound weird, but going to business school taught me the importance of having a clear vision and goals for a business, and I've learned to apply that same kind of planning to my life. I highly recommend taking some time to reflect on what you want in your life. Here are some great questions to...

Hey, it's Rachel— If you missed it, I've been surveying you (my audience) to learn what you need and how I can help. A common theme in my survey responses is people's uncertainty about where to start (they lack the right direction and guidance on how to find/observe opportunities). So, today, I'm going to address that question. If you want to be successful in any endeavor (whether that's starting a business or achieving a big goal), I think the best place to start is by researching people who...
